The PTG22 is a premium white glossy inkjet label material (PET) with aluminum backing that produces excellent printing results with, among others, the Epson ColorWorks inkjet label printers, both in terms of color intensity and the relatively high drying speed.
This material is specially used for car tire labels where the aluminum backing acts as a barrier to prevent the black dyes from the tire from migrating to the printing side. This protects the printing. Due to high concentrations of plasticizers in the tires, the PGT22 is equipped with a very powerful and plasticizer-resistant adhesive. The glue is also applied in high quantities. (55gr or more). Punching this material therefore requires some expertise. When printing this material, the so-called bleeding of the glue must also be taken into account.
